Don't miss these opportunities to learn new outdoor and incredibly useful skills, not to mention try something completely different. You can always check the Squadron Calendar for details, it is HERE

Ground Team Academy. 23 Sep 2016 through 25 Sep 2016. NJ Wing will be holding the first Ground Team Academy in many years this coming 23-25 SEP at Camp Glen Gray in Mahway NJ. We will be focusing on GTM3 training this year. If you are interesting in Ground Search and Rescue, this course is great way to get started. Very little back ground is needed to attend (basic requirements listed in the sign-up system) and this should promise to be a fun and challenging way to get a very strong start in ES Ground Operations. We will be discussing the prerequisites at squadron meetings in August and September, so make every effort to attend. Register HERE.

Orienteering Skills workshop at West Point's Lake Frederick. Orienteering Skills Workshop at West Point's Lake Frederick. Friday 30 Sep 2016 through Sunday 2 Oct 2016.

This workshop can also be used by scouts to complete tasks 1-7 of the Orienteering Merit Badge Requirements, while getting experience on introductory and advanced level orienteering courses. Scouts will participate in various exercises and practical applications, culminating in a troop-level orienteering competition. This weekend is sure to be exciting for all participants. Save the date and stay tuned for sign up information.
