25 Nov 2016 O-Flight out of Essex County Airport

Attention, Curtiss-Wright Cadets! 
Sign up NOW for a powered O-Flight out of Essex County Airport in Caldwell, NJ, on Friday, 25 November (the day after Thanksgiving.) Complete the brief survey below by 22 November 2016 at 2000.  

There is no rain date, so hope for fine weather.  Flight cancellation due to weather will be sent via email, so be CERTAIN you check your email. (You should be checking your CAP email daily as part of being a responsible cadet.)


What you need to know:

1) You must have completed Aircraft Ground Handling in eServices.
2) You must be safety current. Check your record in eServices. If you are not safety current, complete one of the online safety modules.
3) Prepare by reading the O-Flight Syllabus.
4) UOD: BDUs, boots. Dress warmly with layers under your BDUs and bring a jacket. 
5) Arrive 15 minutes before your flight.
6) Bring with you: your CAPID, a gallon ziplock bag, a snack and water. Keep a complete CAPF 161 in the right pocket of your BDUs.
7) Your parents should not leave you until you have gone up with the pilot. Your parents should return to the airport half an hour before your flight is scheduled to end.
