    Be prepared for your Powered O-Flight: Cadets, you and your parents should read more about Orientation Flights: Curious about orientation flights? What you need to know: 1) You must have completed Aircraft Ground Handling in eServices. 2) You must be safety current. Check your record in eServices. If you are not safety current, complete one of the online safety modules. 3) Prepare by reading the O-Flight Syllabus. 4) UOD: BDUs, boots. Dress warmly with layers under your BDUs and bring a jacket, as appropriate. 5) Arrive 15 minutes before your flight. 6) Bring with you: your CAPID, a gallon ziplock bag, a snack and water. The gallon ziplock is Critical, even if you have flown before, airsickness can be unpredictable. Keep a complete CAPF 161 in the right pocket of your BDUs. CAPF 161 7) Your parents should not leave you until you have gone up with the pilot. Your parents should return to the airport half an hour before your flight is scheduled to end.
    Be prepared for your Glider O-Flight:

    Have your parents read the Parents Guide to Orientation Flights

    1. Online Safety Education in eServices MUST BE CURRENT. 2. Aircraft Ground Handling Course (Log into eServices and Click on the TAB on the left. Watch the video, complete the quiz, save the certificate and email it to C/Lt Maskarenas as an attachment.) 3. Wing Runner Course. 4. CAPF 161 5. Read applicable Glider/Powered Flight Syllabus. h (Bring a copy of this with you) 6. Parent Permission Slip (Please get this filled out and handed over to your OIC)
    What to bring:
    CAPID (New members may print a temporary card from eServices at CAPF 161 Lunch Snacks Gum – to clear ears Sunglasses Sunscreen Bug spray Water Camera, if desired Yellow-Lime safety vest Homework/something to read for when not flying or working ground ops folding chair UNIFORM BDU's (Do not forget your cover) Shoes are tennis shoes, NO BOOTS
