Welcome to the Curtiss-Wright
Composite Squadron, NJ-073!
We are a nationally designated Quality Cadet Unit of the Civil Air Patrol. Cadets in the Curtiss-Wright Squadron build character, learn aerospace, emergency services, gain leadership skills and improve their fitness -- just for starters. The squadron is cadet led, and cadets take on many different roles in squadron leadership as they progress through the ranks. They gain maturity, professionalism, and teamwork skills invaluable in their school and professional careers.

Founded in 2007, the Curtiss-Wright Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol is home to Cadet and Senior members. Our squadron is currently meeting n Zoom until further notice. Our squadron meets year-round every Tuesday from 1900 to 2100.

Our squadron is Cadet-led with Senior Member oversight. Monthly activities include aerospace education, character and leadership development, physical training, and team building. Cadets have the opportunity to learn teamwork, leadership, public speaking, and to participate in many challenging activities.

We welcome prospective members to join us. Please contact us.

About Civil Air Patrol Civil Air Patrol is the longtime auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force and as such is a valued member of its Total Force. In its auxiliary role, CAP operates a fleet of 560 single-engine aircraft and 1,944 small Unmanned Aircraft Systems (sUAS). It performs about 90% of continental U.S. inland search and rescue missions as tasked by the Air Force Rescue Coordination Center and is credited by the AFRCC with saving an average of 82 lives annually. CAP’s 60,000 members also perform homeland security, disaster relief and drug interdiction missions at the request of federal, state and local agencies. Operating as a nonprofit organization, CAP also plays a leading role in STEM/aerospace education, and its members serve as mentors to about 25,000 young people participating in CAP’s Cadet Programs.
